Thank you very much.

The results set up an interesting final between Shortlands v Langley Park.

The afternoon start was delayed shortly, while a short sharp thunderstorm worked its way east, when play did start the weather was very kind to us.

Julia Price went out in first slot against a rampant Paulette Jasquith, Julia found Paulette too hot to handle and Shortlands found themselves I game up.
Priya Bhatia played against the ever- present Sheila Pitt, on this occasion Sheila was out done by Priya and the match was levelled.
Shortly after that win Langley Park's Chitra Prashar came in with a win against Sue Dawbarn, giving Langley the lead.
The next game between Langley's Lesley Compton and the vivacious Sandra Dyckhoff, become a close and testing affair with Sandra winning for Shortlands 2up.
Two all, everything happened very fast after that, with Shortlands Captain Jenny Williams walking in with a win against Linda Foulstone and Kim Daniel also walking in with a win against Pauline Emburey giving Shortlands a 4/2 win and the Kent Pearson Trophy.

Congratulations go to Shortlands who have earned their place in the Inter County finals, which will be held at Hartsbourne GC Hertfordshire, on Monday 18th July 2011.

I would like to thank, Chris, Dorothy and Jean Gellatly, firstly for being there, secondly for Refereeing and Jill Wellbelove for starting and thirdly for their representing the KCLGA and their continued support of the Pearson Trophy.
Elaine my deputy for her help and understanding.
It's much appreciated.

I would also like to commend Knole Park Golf Club for their enthusiasm, help and commitment to making the day run very smoothly.

I would also like to commend and thank all the players, Captains and supporters for the very sporting and happy why everyone behaved, Issette Pearson would have been very proud in this the 100 year of her and her friends brilliant ideal of meeting together, splitting up into two teams, enjoying this game of golf and making friends with other individuals and Clubs, lets hope it goes on for at least another 100 years.

The Finals started well, with good weather and no traffic problems, thankfully.

The 1st semi final between Ashford and Shortlands was a tense affair, with both teams having good expectations of winning through to the afternoons final.
Paulette Jasquith was first out for Shortlands, she played Jenny Spedding of Ashford, the game was a tight affair with Paulette just taking the spoils 3/2
Wendy Kendall. Pitted her wits and golfing power against the experienced Sheila Pitt, canny Sheila won through 4/3 taking Shortlands into a 2/0 lead.
With Karen Pickering and Sue Dawbarn still battling away on the course, while in the mean time Sandra Dyckhoff beat Shirley Goldwin to give Shortlands a commanding lead.
The fifth game was between Ash ford's Shell Foster and Audrey Moran; Audrey won the game and match for Shortlands and a place in the afternoons final for her club Shortlands.

In the second semi final Langley Park pitted their wits against the ever-present Nizels,
